If you're already using the Monitor ERP Windows client today, you can feel confident that you'll recognize the interface in the web client. All the existing functionality of Monitor stays the same since the server and the database are not modified.

When will the new Monitor Web Client be available to all users?
The new client is still in development and is being tested with pilot customers. The rollout will continue through 2025 and our goal is to make it available for everyone as soon as all functionality is ready.
Are there any additional costs involved to get access to the new web based client?
No, it will be provided as part of the standard system for all customers.
Do I need to buy or upgrade hardware?
In most cases, no upgrades are necessary. On the server side, the web service can typically run on the same server as your existing Monitor application server. On the client side, any device that could run the old client should be fully capable of running the new web client as well.
How long does it take to upgrade to the new client?
Getting started is quick and simple. For on-premise systems, the only requirement is for the system administrator to install a web server service—a task that typically takes less than an hour.
If you’re using Monitor Cloud, there’s no action needed. Access to the web client will be enabled automatically once it becomes generally available.
For regular users, no setup is required—just enter the system URL in a web browser to start using the new client.
How does the new Monitor Web Client differ from the old Windows client?
The biggest change is how you access Monitor – the new web client runs entirely in your browser, without needing to install any software. The user interface has been designed to closely resemble the Windows client, making the transition smooth and intuitive.
While there are some visual differences due to the web-based design, all data, modules, settings, and procedures remain the same. You get the full functionality of Monitor ERP, just with greater flexibility and ease of access.
Can I continue to use the old Windows-based client?
Yes, during the transition period both the old Windows client and the new web client can be used simultaneously within the same system. However, the Windows client will be phased out within about a year. Going forward, new features and user interfaces will be developed exclusively for the web client.
What is the difference compared to the mobile client, Monitor Mobile?
Monitor Mobile is designed specifically for smaller devices like smartphones, handheld scanners, and tablets, often without a keyboard or mouse, and typically includes features like barcode scanning for mobile work scenarios.
