Fresh from higher education and after just a few months of employment with the company, Martin Karlsson and Rasmus Lindberg were given a big opportunity with the chance to manage a major new project – Monitor need a new app to record time and work retroactively.

Monitor G5 has won the 2022 edition of the ERP System of the Year award, in Potsdam, Germany, in the category for manufacturing companies. The jury was won over by Monitor’s plans in the area of sustainability, to adapt the system for more environmentally friendly production.

Monitor ERP System continues to rapidly expand. Company turnover in 2021 was 17 percent, which meant yet another record year.

The successful implementation of an ERP system has provoked considerable interest over the last few years. Although there is no shortage of reports on the success of ERP installations, many companies have tossed millions of dollars in this direction with little to show for it.

On April 19, the Factory Innovation Awards were presented at the Hannover Messe. Monitor ERP took first prize in “The Sustainable factory” category. The winner was chosen by an independent jury of experts. The decisive factors in the category were functions in the area of sustainability reporting and carbon dioxide emission calculation.

We’re currently expanding strongly in Asia and are therefore very pleased to have been awarded the prestigious Chinese Manufacturing IT Application Appraisal – an award in China that recognizes the most innovative and efficient IT systems in the manufacturing industry.

Monitor China has become a Corporate Gold Partner of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China, a non-profit, non-governmental organization with 240 Swedish and Sweden-related member companies. Its mission is to advance members’ business interests by facilitating networking and flow of information among these companies.

Bjørnar Ødegård has been appointed our new CEO in Norway. An important part of Monitor since 2017 in the role of partner, Bjørnar was impressed by the functionality of our ERP system during a successful implementation for a Norwegian company. He has worked as Vice President Operations at Jets Vacuum AS for the last few years, but has followed Monitor closely during this period.

To take their sustainability efforts a step further, the company Nitator, a prominent player in the automotive industry and a comprehensive supplier of sheet metal components, has begun using Monitor ERP's environmental feature – Sustainability by Monitor. Sustainability by Monitor is an environmental tool which helps companies to accurately measure their environmental impact and implement sustainability measures.

We’re strengthening our involvement in the world of biathlon by becoming an official sponsor of leading Norwegian biathlete Tarjei Bø. With Olympic and World Cup golds under his belt – along with multiple victories in the World Cup – Tarjei is a perfect match for our continued investment in biathlon, where we’re also the main partner of the Swedish national biathlon team.

On January 1, 2024, Adrian Aptowitzer stepped in as the new CEO for Monitor Sweden. He began his career at Monitor in 2012, and most recently worked as Consultant Manager. Adrian is a highly appreciated, transparent, and inspiring leader among his colleagues and is set to play a key role in strengthening our business and presence on the Swedish market.

We continue to grow and have now reached a new milestone - over 300 employees in Sweden and almost 500 employees globally. With more than 50 new additions in Sweden in 2023, we've not only increased our number of staff, but also added a lot of new talent and skills to the company.

He began in October 2023 and has over 15 years’ experience as a quality and environmental manager in the manufacturing industry. When Jonas Lundin started at Monitor ERP in 2013, he was a gap-year student, a so-called “mellanåring”, fresh from his technology program at high school. The gap-year program is aimed at young people in Hudiksvall, and combines one year’s work experience with academic study, between high school and university. For Jonas, this was a fantastic opportunity to get a year’s work experience, but it would turn out to be more than that.
