What is Monitor's web client?

Using our web client, you can access your Monitor ERP system directly in your browser. It provides the same core functionality as the Windows client, while offering greater flexibility through internet-based access. If you’re already using the Windows client, you’ll recognize the interface and feel at home right away.

Why use the web client?

  • Accessible from all devices: Can be used on any modern computer with a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) – use is no longer limited to Windows PCs.

  • Access without a VPN: Direct access with Monitor Cloud – no VPN required.

  • No installations: No client installations are required.

  • Familiar interface: If you’ve used Monitor ERP in the Windows client, the look and feel will be familiar, so the transition requires minimal training.

  • Ready for innovation: The web client enables future development of more advanced functionality. New visual features are being developed exclusively for the web client.

Are there any additional costs for using the web client?

No, all customers will have access to it as part of the standard system.

What kind of device do I need to use the web client?

You can use any computer that has a modern web browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.

How long does it take to upgrade to the web client?

The upgrade is virtually seamless – you simply start using the web client. Everything else in Monitor ERP remains the same: the functionality, your data, and your settings are not affected.

What is the difference between the web client and the old Windows client?

The biggest difference is how you access Monitor ERP: the web client runs entirely in your browser, without requiring you to install any software. The user interface has been designed to be as similar as possible to that of the Windows client, ensuring a smooth and intuitive transition.

There are some differences in appearance due to the web-based design, but all data, modules, settings, and procedures remain the same. You get all of Monitor ERP’s functionality – only more flexible and easily accessible.

Can I continue using the old Windows client?

Yes. During the transition period, both the old Windows client and the web client will be able to be used simultaneously within the same system. However, the Windows client will be phased out in the future. Going forward, new features and user interfaces will be developed exclusively for the web client.

What is the difference compared to the mobile client, Monitor Mobile?

Monitor Mobile is specifically designed for smaller devices such as smartphones, handheld scanners, and tablets, which typically lack a keyboard and mouse. Monitor Mobile focuses on features such as barcode scanning for factory-floor work situations.

The web client is designed for larger screens and desktop use. The web client offers the same full range of features as the old Windows client, while Monitor Mobile offers a smaller set of features that are ideal for tasks you perform on the go.

We want to use the web client via the Internet, but we don’t want to have to handle publishing, security, and updates ourselves. How can Monitor help us?

With our cloud solution, Monitor takes care of all the technical aspects for you. We host the web client on the Internet and ensure that the solution is up and running, secure, and always up to date.

You won't have to deal with your own servers, updates, or backups. We take care of operations and technical maintenance, and your data is protected with high-level security, encryption, and daily backups.

This means you get a secure and well-maintained solution for the web client – you focus on your business, and we make sure the system works.
