Growing from strength to strength

The year 2020 has been a turbulent one, with a burning desire to bring the company to new heights, the Monitor Malaysia team had geared up to grow the Malaysian team and go all out. This year started out with the strengthening of the Finance and Accounts department with the addition of a Finance & Accounts Manager.

Next on the list was to grow the Business Consultant team in central Malaysia, with the hiring of two Business Consultants in Kuala Lumpur. However, their first major roadblock came in the first quarter of the year. The COVID-19 pandemic hit the world hard, causing many businesses to come to a grinding halt.

While many businesses were struggling to stay afloat by letting go of employees, Monitor ERP System Asia decided to continue on their expansion plan by pivoting and reacting to the changing business landscape. They continued to grow their business consultant team, sales & marketing team and support team with a total of six new hires in the past four months.

Growth happens amid the sea of uncertainty, and this is clearly seen with the addition of new members to the Monitor family despite trying times.

The new members of the marketing team will bring new ideas and approaches to the marketing efforts of the company. Digital marketing will be the major focus in the new normal as physical marketing activities are greatly limited due to the pandemic.

The addition of four new business consultants and one support analyst will serve to strengthen and expand not only the capabilities of the team but also the capacity of the company to serve even more customers and run implementation projects for an ever-growing customer base.

To further ramp up sales in the long run, Monitor has also brought on board a highly experienced
Sales Director. Having a sales director in central Malaysia to serve the local market will greatly strengthen Monitor’s foothold in the region and benefit the company’s efforts in growing its customer base to more regions in the country.

It may appear to be a risk for a company to continue hiring in such uncertain times, but for Monitor, it is in line with the company’s goal to grow and be the market leader in the region.

The famous American-British poet, T.S. Eliot describes growth and its risks nicely when he said “Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.”. This holds true in a situation where businesses are struck with fear of uncertainties, and this fear can be paralyzing if left unchecked. To continue to grow sometimes you just need to take a leap of faith in order to break out of adversity.

This is what Monitor has done, and with the addition of new members to the family, we are confident of turning the year 2020 around with a positive outcome.

Together, with an ever-growing family, we will continue to push forward despite the challenges ahead, the Monitor way. Join us today!
