What you'll do

• Manage end-to-end data migration activities for Monitor ERP database, ensuring a smooth, accurate, and efficient transition of data.
• Oversee data integrity, consistency, and reliability across all phases of the migration lifecycle.
• Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to align migration approaches with business and technical requirements.
• Proactively assess risks and ensure minimal disruption to business operations during migration.
• Drive high-quality delivery by meeting project timelines and adhering to established standards and best practices.
• Support and coordinate critical migration cutovers, including off-hours activities when necessary.

Key responsibilities

• Execute data migration processes, including data extraction, transformation, loading, and reconciliation between database engines.
• Assess source databases and define appropriate mapping, transformation rules, and migration methodologies.
• Investigate and resolve data-related issues such as inconsistencies, migration failures, and system compatibility challenges.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless migration execution and system integration.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation covering migration processes, data mappings, and issue resolutions.
• Monitor migration progress and provide timely updates, ensuring alignment with project goals and quality standards.
• Adapt to flexible working hours to support deployment windows and critical migration events.

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any equivalent qualification.
• 2 years of experience in system support, preferably in database management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to actively listen, and ask meaningful probing questions.
• Must be able to easily learn and apply system knowledge, work within defined policies and procedures, and use standardized tools and technology to perform job functions.
• Excellent working knowledge of system troubleshooting and error debugging.
• Familiarity with the Windows Operating System, IT infrastructure, and security.
• Basic knowledge of SQL Anywhere, PostgreSQL and Database Management is an added advantage.
• Requires a good command of English, and proficiency in other languages is a plus.
• Ability to create effective relationships and collaborate internally and externally, at all organizational levels.
• Must be able to work outside of normal working hours for ad hoc tasks.
