Aura Light outsourced its server management – and reduced costs

When Aura Light switched to Monitor ERP’s cloud solution, they were able to hand over responsibility for servers, backups, and updates to Monitor ERP. The result was less administration, easier troubleshooting, and a lower total cost.

As part of the transition to the cloud based solution, Aura Light reviewed the costs of the existing solution. Once server operation, maintenance, upgrades, and administration were factored in, the choice was easy.

“Running servers gets expensive when you add it all up. It made sense from a financial, technical, and administrative standpoint. It wasn’t a difficult decision to switch to the cloud solution,” says Peter Lindgren, IT Manager at Aura Light.

Now Aura Light can instead contact Monitor directly.

“Now that Monitor owns the entire process from start to finish, things have become much, much smoother,” says Peter.

Server maintenance, system upgrades, backups, and security infrastructure are no longer something Aura Light needs to manage in the same way. Security is also particularly important to the company, since the business system is one of its most critical systems.

“The business system must be secure since it contains customer data. Now we can hand it over to Monitor in a reliable manner".

The overall impression following the transition to the cloud solution is clear:

“Everything runs much more smoothly, so it’s nothing but a positive from our end,” Peter concludes.
