  • Get to know your production with MONITOR Machine Integration

MONITOR Machine Integration (MI) is the first step towards Industry 4.0. Automatic reporting and transfer of data from machines to the ERP system enables more effective production, and better post-calculations. We asked two of our customers what they think about MONITOR MI.

Falks Metall is a machining company founded in 1946. It produces parts, primarily for the automotive industry and off-shore. The company has a turnover of approximately 10 million euros.

"We have highly automated production, with around 35 robots and 30 CNC lathes," said Per Falk, CEO of Falks Metall AB.

Data at Falks Metall is gathered and analyzed in MONITOR Machine Integration and MI Reports. One of the objectives is to identify where to make improvements in the factory.

"We need constant improvement. And an important part of that is to measure and analyze where we can be better. In some machines we have OEE values of up to 97 percent. This wouldn't be possible without using MONITOR Machine Integration," said Falk.

    John Lejon, Business Developer
    at Hordagruppen AB

Hordagruppen is a company that produces plastic and rubber parts, mainly for the automotive industry, with customers such as Volvo, Scania, Geely, and General Motors. With around 400 employees worldwide, it has factories based in Sweden, Poland, India, and China. Hordagruppen was founded in 1974.

"We recommend MONITOR Machine Integration if you want to take that next step towards the industry 4.0 standard. It's also a very good starting point if you want to gain a good overview of your production, and really start to know your processes," said John Lejon, Business Developer at Hordagruppen AB.

The MI system has helped Hordagruppen to improve the quality of its daily meetings. With automatic transfer of data from MI to MONITOR ERP, post-calculations are now far more reliable and useful.

"It's perfect to have as material on which to base decisions, and to make improvements in your manufacturing units. Previously, we used another machine integration system, and switched to Monitor's Machine Integration in order to generate better data."
