The Monitor Roadshow in Penang
Penang provided the first stop on the Monitor Roadshow in Malaysia. Over 60 people from 34 different companies took part in the event, a half-day seminar in which the team at Monitor ERP System demonstrated how MONITOR ERP can help manufacturing companies to improve their customer service levels and operate in a more efficient, cost-efficient manner.
The event kicked off with opening remarks from YBhg Dato' Jimmy Ong, Vice Chairman of FMM Penang, who highlighted the value of listening to companies like Monitor ERP System because of our Swedish roots and extensive experience within the manufacturing industry. Once YBhg Dato' Jimmy Ong had finished his speech, the microphone was passed to Daniel Häggmark, Managing Director of Monitor ERP System, Southeast Asia. Daniel welcomed the audience and gave them an introduction to Monitor ERP System. He talked about where we come from, our current activities in Malaysia, and our thoughts about the future, and introduced them to MONITOR ERP.
Per Häggmark, who has been working at Monitor ERP System for over 15 years, was the speaker at the two seminar blocks, Customer Service and Operational Excellence. Per discussed the common challenges faced by manufacturing companies and gave the audience some hands-on recommendations on how an ERP System can combat these challenges and help to improve output.
The two seminars were concluded with a Q&A session in which the audience had the opportunity to put questions to Per, Daniel, and two of our customers, Min Fern Ong from Leadman Precision Engineering Sdn Bhd, and Cynthia Khaw from Atnesis Sdn Bhd. Both had positive things to say about Monitor ERP System. Min Fern and Cynthia said they'd achieved major improvements after implementing MONITOR. Some of the improvements they outlined are below:
- Achieved almost 100% stock accuracy.
- Gained full traceability, from raw material all the way to delivery.
- Reduced stock value by over 60% thanks to better production and material planning.
The day ended with a networking lunch, and during the coffee break all participants had the chance to sample Swedish fika, home made by the Monitor Team. We're really grateful that so many people were interested in attending our event and are looking forward to the next stops on the Roadshow.
